July's Principal of the Month is Erika Moody

Erika Moody, Principal of A&M Pate Elementary School in Texas has been selected as the 2010 School Turnaround Principal of the Year. Under her leadership, A&M Pate students have made substantial gains on the TAKS state assessments. Achievement in both reading and math greatly exceeded the established NCLB targets during 2009-2010 school year. Erika has led her school from Academically Unacceptable to the status of Accademically Acceptable.

The school will receive a monetary award to be spent at the discretion of the school leadership and a celebration of student success will be hosted when school is back in session.
